I am a fairly new owner of a 2530 powered by a 300 Suzuki.
I try to fish as much as possible.
Mostly for Lings, Halibut and Chinook and Hopefully Tuna someday too.
My “fishing boat” is also the family RV
so there are a few fun Kid friendly trips every year too.
Looking forward learning more about Parker’s and rigging them up just right.
Cheers, GregFCB189C9-CEC7-4D0A-B1FA-E62C01AA8825.jpeg

Welcome Greg! Does your boat have a tower, and if so did you get it from a gentleman in Florida? Because if so, she's a fairly famous boat on this site.

As far as information on rigging up your specific model, you'd be hard pressed to find a better thread to start with than this one: My '95 2530 Warthog did an amazing job with this boat.

No tower on my boat. It was brought to the West Coast as an inboard and converted by a fellow in Oak Harbour Washington. I have added a rocket launcher, anchor windlass, radar and a new 20hp Suzuki kicker. I also removed the old engine cover and made a large flush deck hatch with 1” Starboard.15499C23-D0FE-46CC-BD62-2049A0FE1EE0.jpeg

Hi Greg, Welcome to ClassicParker, Love your new boat! I wish there had been a 2530 available when I got a 2520 a few years ago. You are boating in a beautiful part of the world. The Sea-part of Sea-to-Sky is breath-taking scenery. I have been through Squamish 8 times in the past 8 years on the way to Whistler. (most recently this past February 2020).. We always stop in Squamish at Save-On-Foods to buy a weeks worth of grocery to feed our family of 15 for a week! Squamish is a wonderful place and as I can see by your photo, a great place to catch fish!.... (15 family is brothers, sisters, mothers, nieces, nephews etc... I don't want anyone thinking I'm living in a household of 15 people! There's just me and my wife in ours ☺)

I have a 2510 also a inboard converted to twin
Suzuki 150's. I would like to see what you did to the engine cover area. I need ideas on what to do with this huge space, maybe fish box, fuel or space for dive gear.

I will post a few photos of my deck hatch solution for you. My boat
Is over on Vancouver island waiting for me to go fishing again .
I think I may still trim the engine mounting blocks down lower .
There is lots of room down there for traps or tanks Or maybe a custom ice
chest in the future . The important concern would be to protect the transducer and bilge pump from loose gear sliding around down there.

Thanks any input would be great.

Sorry it took so long. It’s been bow season and albacore season for the last few weeks!!
My pal and I used aluminum angle to frame up the hole after cutting the old combing off flush to the deck.
Then attached another inner frame of angle to support the 1” starboard hatch. The transom hole got a 1/2” door hatch with keyed fasteners.
I will attach a photo when I bring the boat back home in a few weeks.

I had a direct drive with the motor midship under the helm.
Thanks
