Air compressor requirement for spraying gelcoat

Looking for any opinions or suggestions on a cheap air compressor capable of handling spraying gelcoat. Would a 20g compressor be capable of laying down gelcoat ?

How much gellcoat? 20gal compressor will do well........for a airbrush....

haha. After reading a few threads It seems the requirement is far outside of anything I could afford or want to store in my garage. I wanted to reshoot a few areas on the bottom and lower chines. Im in the process of removing the bottom paint and finding a few defects, chips and voids in the factory gel. I figured the Preval sprayers would probably suck. The gelcoat spraying seems to be something the average DIY guy will not have much success with unless opting to invest in the compressor that you need to use.

OK Now that I understand what your trying to do....It's doable.

[I thought you were thinking of regellcoating the whole boat.]

You don't even need a compressor for what your going to do.
