I want to put a microwave oven on my 2530. Without using a generator and just off an inverter. Has anyone done this and any suggestions for model or tips would be greatly appreciated.

I have a microwave on my Ranger Tug. I use a 1500 watt inverter. I run the engine while using high power use items. Never had an issue. If you want a brand and model number post here and I will see if I can find it.

Thge model in my Tug is - Contoure Model CM7060S Uses 1050W and puts out 700 watt microwave size 17-5/16 X 14 X 10-3/16. Been using it for 9 years on over 9,000 NM of travel. As I said, use a 1500 watt inverter and run the engine if you are using it. Always worked like a champ. I have prepared many a meal for the wife and myself.

Awesome! Thank you for the info. I will be taking on this project next month and I appreciate your helpful info👍

You can absolutely run a microwave off of an inverter. You just need to know how many watts it draws and have an inverter large enough to handle the draw. In addition, you do need to have enough house battery power to supply the inverter and or run your engine while using it. I run a 5K BTU FCF marine AC off of my inverter with a 200AH AGM house battery. With the engine running I have about 2.5 hours of run time.
