Floor Deck Compartment

I purchased this 2006 2120 SC last fall with only 150 hrs and always rack stored. However there is a hatch in the cockpit floor with drain to scupper on the bottom of the boat.
Parker says they do not install hatches in 2120s . The owner did not install it or the boat dealer. Has any one ever heard or scene one of these on a 2120 SC?

This looks like a great use of available space, and also looks well-made; nice reinforced lid! I'd like to see a bit more 'storage' on some of the boats; in place of some of the foam-filled compartments.
