So I’ve removed all the batteries and have drilled out every screw but the console won’t move. Does anyone know if they epoxied the long feet of the console tray to the deck? I’ve done this once before on an 18 and it popped off after the fasteners where removed. The battery tray in the console has been removed along with the screws that held it in place.
See pic looking from front down onto inner floor of console.

If you’ve got a helper, you can run some heavy braided fishing line under the console in a sawing motion, which should clear out any sealant. Wrap each end around a stick to create a handle and pull it back and forth. If you come up against a hard stop, you’ve probably got a fastener that you missed.

No reason I can think of that the factory would have epoxied it down; any previous owner’s handiwork is another story.

Thanks guys. It was 5200. I used 6 chisels on each side and went around and around taping. It finally popped. It only took 3 hours. Console is up front now and time to cut the deck and start chipping away foam. The old tank made it from 1994 to 2019 so not that bad. If the previous owner had not put a forward deck chair pedestal right in front of the console and let water right in, I probably could have gotten a few more years.

Here you go. This is all being done to get rid of that 12 gallon gas tank on the deck.

OEM is 40 gallon from what I’ve been told. It’s 84” x 17” x ? It’s a very long narrow tank.

And the deck is up and tank is exposed.

Sucks having to cut into a nice solid deck.
What method will you be using to remove the holing poer of the foam? I saw somewhere someone the powerwasher method.

Foam is out. I cut it out with a hand saw and chipped at it with a hammer claw. I’ll probably just pry the tank out with a 2x4.33D8C92B-B91C-4191-953E-BBC4338323C7.jpeg
