I would like to share the improvements I have made over the past 10 years, so this post will be a little lengthy. I started of by getting some ventilation thru the cabin by installing a verado box through the hard top and rain shields over the cabin widows which help a lot in controlling mildew. A new domestics porta-pot (only the best for my wife). I then made a pattern and sent it to snap in carpets and had a very nice carpet made for the helm. I installed fusion radio with speakers inside and out. I mounted the outside speakers in the second station which acts like an on deck boom box, and also installed a 4’ little giant fm antenna for better FM reception although I mainly stream pandora from my phone. I installed 2 additional clamp on the rocket launcher they fit fine in between the existing ones just tilted down a little, two clamp on‘s on the grab rails and a triple rod holder along the inside of the transom, this one is from Taco and it is splined so you can adjust the pitch to fit your application. I installed a lowrance HDS9 touch with radar and side scan and a heading sensor for radar overlay on my chart. I added auto pilot and a lowrance link-8 VHF, all electronics are inter connected for accurate distress location and an AIS Receiver. In 2020 the original 225 Yamaha threw a rod so I replaced it with a 300 and while it was in the shop I had them add the lowrance HDS LIVE in lue of new Yamaha gauges. Much better choice in my mind because for a couple extra bucks I have an extra multi function screen and then downloaded the Yamaha app, I have my chart set up to show engine hrs to oil pressure at a glance. I had a three in one transducer installed so that I can have chirp overlay on top of the structure scan. They installed a lewmar windless with a easy set anchor new shift and throttle cables and new fuel lines. I went to the local plastics shop and they cut me a nice piece of black non glare plastic so I could rearrange my electronics and cover all the old holes for a finished job. I am going to stop Lilly B fishing charters this year as I hit 66, but chartering a small boat with autopilot was a breeze without a mate and a max of 4 anglers. All my fishing from now on will have no pressure And last but not least my best addition and business partner Lilly B ….last pic
