I have a question regarding the location for mounting an M260 transducer in a 2320. I am thinking of locating the tank in the after bilge, on the centerline, just forward of the built up bilge pump pad area, and over the flat area of the hull. I know the battery shelf will have to be cut to accommodate the tank. Any thoughts, recommendations would be appreciated. I plan to run this with a Furuno FCV 587. Thanks

While the units you have are very dated they do work well.

This is a M256 LH.....physically it is the same size as a M260

Note the shelf is not cut with square corners.....It's stronger and cleaner with a radius in the corners.....That shelf in mine '95 2530 is Coosa Board.

Also note the Lil X-ducer..... It's temp only. So I can get surface water temp. A M series you don't get that. Non Toix antifreeze is the product to fill the tank now......It use to be mineral oil.

Thanks very much for the reply. That installation is just how I'll do mine.
