Well, this old man just bought a 1990 Parker 25 Pilothouse that has probably been fished 3 of every 5 days of it's life  .....The restoration effort seems daunting but I'm willing  .....Structurally sound, mechanically great, electrictronics are a bit questionable (some lights don't work, trim tab won't trim, etc.)....Cosmetically, it should have scales! I'm loving it though :) Down side, I'll probably miss the rock season this year in the Chesapeake as I give my weekends to teak refinishing, gel-coat restoration and electrical maintenance......Next year, look out! :)

TOPFROG, welcome to the wonderful word of Parker:!:. I fell in love a 1992 23' W/A recently. Love at first sight!!!!

She aint the prettiest  , but she has a lot of soul and is a beauty to me :D .

I have a lot of teak, gelcoat, and refitting to do, too. Maybe we can compare notes ! Best of luck !

Welcome aboard ClassicParker Topfrog!

As you cruise through the forums, you will notice that the membership here loves projects, and we love project photos! (aka - "boat porn")

When I found my 2520 MVSC she was living on a trailer in a dusty boat yard, and sitting under an oak tree. The cockpit was full of leaves, the deck and hull was dirty and stained, and the bilge was full of water into which had leaked the contents of the trim tab HPU.
She was nasty, but she did clean up well.

Welcome to the Parker community!

BTW - Where are you located in the Chesapeake?

Appreciate the "good luck" wishes.....From a restoration perspective, just goes to show misery loves company....Especially Parker Company :D

Megabyte, I am located in Mathews County well South of you (I'd guess 120 miles). I'm currently just a weekend warior.....have a place on Horn Harbor (Va side of the Bay).

All you guys talk about pics.....Boat porn......Gee Whiz - I spend all my hard earned $'s on a boat and you guys think there's enough left over for a digital camera......Man, I'm going to have to look into that one

I spent 36 hours in the Pilothouse cabin this past weekend just cleaning every nook and cranny....Patching holes (GPS #1 here - 4 holes, new GPS over here....4 more holes - to heck with the other ones, just leave the screws there )......Well, looks great now......Almost looks new.

I remeber that day you took me to go see it. What was it, like negative 50 that day???? But we stood inside the PH and had a cold beer anyway.... :D

She sure was nasty. But you've done a great job bringer her back to life. :)

Congrats TOPFROG!
