*100% turn key and ready to fish. NEEDS NOTHING*

You won’t find another one rigged like this. No expense was spared and no shortcuts taken. This was supposed to be my ‘forever boat.’ Never used commercially all hours are recreational use and mine only. Known by Parker enthusiasts as 'The Unicorn' there are only a few 2830’s left in the US(I believe currently less than 12). It’s the same hull Parker builds currently for the 2820 however with a larger pilothouse and enclosed electric flush head and shower.

Purchased in 2017 in original condition from original owner with approx. 700hrs on her. As you can see by how this boat was rigged the plan was to keep till death. No expense was spared. It seems however that plan has changed and I’m strongly considering selling. I do not have to sell

I‘ve got my hands full with my 2520, don’t need any more boat but all I can saw is WOW, don’t think I have seen a nicer or better equipped Parker. My boat is a lot older and so are my electronics but still very well equipped. I know how much work and how time consuming it is outfitting a Parker Pilot House with all that gear. Lots of man hours & sweat went into settings up that boat, LOTs!

Great looking engines, I have one of those DF300APXX White Suzuki myself....👍

I find Earlby's comment without redeeming social value. Perhaps he doesn't know just exactly how much it costs to do the kind of really first class fitting out that you have done. Haven't we all spent a pile on the "last one I will ever own" and then had life intervene? So I for one want you to know that if I was 10 years younger and a few hundred thou richer I'd have asked you to hold the boat until I can make it down this afternoon to worship your work and then seal the deal so that she became mine. Fish on my friend. One of a kind. Someone is going to be very damn lucky, whatever price they pay.

Also so unnecessary to comment on an asking price. For the time being, we live in a country that allows an owner to ask what they want and the economy and the market will judge the suitability of the price. Additionally there are lots of owners of boats, cars, trucks, homes and land, who are financially able to hold items that they might be willing to sell for the “right price” but there is no economic pressure to move it fast.

I own a 20 year old SS Camaro that I bought new. It’s not perfect but it’s close. T-tops , 6 speed. Runs as good as it did brand new. I haven’t looked at book value in years but it isn’t much, probably not $5K. Good luck though finding a 20 year old black on black leather SS Camaro with 6 speed standard that somewhere along the way hasn’t been thrashed by a young man. I drive it frequently in the nice weather and typically a week doesn’t pass without someone asking me if it’s for sale. I wouldn’t dream of letting it go for anything close to “book value” but if you came at me with $10K, I’d think about it.

Can’t speak for the owner of this 28 but if you know ANYTHING about setting up a Parker it’s pretty obviously no one was pinching pennies or $50 bills setting this boat up, wouldn’t surprise me even a little if he can afford to wait on his price while enjoying the boat along the way....

Thank you for the very kind words and compliments on my boat. You nailed it actually. It was all done with love for the boat and fishing. The plan was ‘forever’ so I spent as if that was the case. I’m well aware it can’t be recovered nor am I attempting to do so.

Thanks so much. I truly appreciate you seeing this boat for exactly what it was/is to me and for the compliments. It was built to keep and to fish(you are correct it’s still being fished... often). I did the ‘buy once cry once’ routine with this project especially since I thought it would be for many many years. I truly love the boat and don’t have to sell it. But there is a plan for something different that can accommodate the family a little differently(Can’t always be fishing with the boys). I love this boat and I’m torn on this whole thing especially since a 2830 can’t be replaced(not easily). The bigger pilot house is awesome and there is still a TON of cockpit space. Anyway, I don’t offend easy so the comments on price don’t bother me. They were expected, I’m asking for real money. I know that when someone reads what’s into this boat as you gentleman have it’s clear what’s into it and how reasonable the asking price actually is. Either way I appreciate you guys taking the time to look and for the compliments on the work that’s gone into her. The price comments don’t bother me as everyone is entitled to their opinion and certainly their freedom of speech!!!! Best to you all and enjoy your Parker’s!!!!

No, I just do not think he realizes that he is asking that much for a 15 year old boat (2005 model). Fix it up as nice as you like but in the end you still have a 15 year old hull and a motor with 600 hours.

I love this logic. "But it's a 15 year old hull!" Hulls don't go bad, ask everyone that's ever restored a 70's or 80's classic SeaCraft. In fact, in a lot of cases the earlier hulls are built better than the newer ones. The only real things that need to have attention paid to them are whether there's any soft spots in the deck, and the possibility that the fuel tank may be approaching its lifespan. The deck is pretty easy to ascertain whether it's bad or not, and the tank is good until it's not.

The motors are 2019s. They've got hours on them but they're also very likely still under warranty. The electronics are from 2019 and are extensive. Most of the systems on board sound like they've been replaced. In the ways that matter, the boat is essentially a 2019 model.

The boat is heavily customized in a quality way. It's also one of the rarest hulls that Parker has ever made and is sought after. To anyone that's paying attention, this boat is worth more than a brand new model based simply on the fact that you couldn't buy this boat new if you wanted to and if you did, you'd spend a lot of time and effort getting it to this level. If that's not interesting to you, great. But don't presume to devalue the boat because you don't see the value in the rarity, the attention to detail, and the effort that went into rigging this boat the way it is.

I would encourage the owner to keep bumping this post and to stand your ground on the price if you're not in a hurry to sell it. You'll get your price when to right buyer comes by, and they will.

Earlby - You have been hammering away on the price of this boat for as long as the ad has been running. I wonder why that is. Could it be you are indirectly trying to negotiate a better price for yourself? Because other than that, just exactly what do you think you are accomplishing? The rest of us seem to understand the particular value this boat offers. Buy it if you like it, don't if you can't accept the price but spending forum time hammering the owner about the price doesn't seem very useful to anyone, including you.

Oh, and stop down at your favorite marina during high season. Wave your magic wand and make all the boats over 15 years old disappear. Half empty marina? Wonder what all those other people know that you don't?

Pipe down. Whatever value there was in you hammering on the price, it is long since lost because of your repeated and totally unnecessary silliness..
