Hi all- I know not many of you have the 2540 dual console- but I’m thinking that for the whole community it might be fun to introduce the conundrum facing this model, which is amazing btw! So we have a smaller stern area than a 23/25 is my guess due to extra seating, but the two side gunnel rod holders are the same (or maybe close to same- one is also a popup cleat). Where the dc is waayyy different it seems is that our solid top which is amazing for family sun protection, etc, does not have rod holders... only a super thick powder coat rail under the top that has 2 tube/tow rope holders. That said, we have 2x2 rocket launchers on each side that are pretty sweet in height.

Now to the point! I don’t have outriggers... so I was planning on putting rod holder “extensions” (my term), to hold rods 90degrees from the boat either on the back of the transom holders or, actually- on the rocket launchers... I have seen the former work, but what about the later?? Is that super dumb?
