Side windows hard to slide open

The boats an 89 25 Sportcabin.
The side windows a difficult to slide open or closed. The channels seem to be in good shape, although dirty. I plan to clean them real good and maybe some kind of lubricant? A graphite or silicon?
Anyone have any thoughts or recomendatios?

I generally give them a light spray when I clean the boat. I have never (6years) had any problems.

I cleaned out the tracks really well and used a clear silicone grease, or even a spray. Let dry before you move the window position.

I'd advise against graphite - dirty and can cake up.

A 'dry' silicone spray, such as zipper-lube should do the trick.
The brand I use is called "Sailcote", or something like that...

The key is keeping the track clean. Even a small amount of salt water allowed to dry in the channel will cause drag. I also use silicone after each cleaning.

Clean track, and Pledge furniture polish spray.

Pledge ? Furniture polish? Does that really work?

Silocone spray as mentioned.

I switched from it to T-9 Boeshield, leaves a film behind, but Silocone works well too.
