I'm in the market for a trolling motor for my 2520. My primary plotter is the Garmin 94sv . I also use Lorance HDS7 as my back up.

any recommendations?

An guidance would be appreciated

Thank you

Well Your electronics's have Nothing to do with your choice of TM.

In my neighborhood at least....People want them for "Spot Lock" IE: Holding the boat in a stationary spot to fish a reef.

So....On your Garmin......You steer the waypoint to that spot with the Outboard. You get to the spot...Drop TM......Jog TM while looking at Garmin to get exactly over spot. Hit "Anchor" button on TM control.

Thats it.

BUT YOUR biggest problem is the install with the Bow rail in the way....Making it function and not look like a abortion.

Is it possible to run the TM with a plotter so I can just tap "start point" and "end point" on the plotter and the trolling motor does the rest?

What did you end up doing? I too would like the TM to interface with the garmin MFD. The only thing I have seen is to use the Garmin Force TM To make this work. There are not many reviews about the Garmin motor, so it would be great if someone had some real world experience using it. Anyone?

I have a Minn Kota and that will only link with Hummingbird. Not sure if other brands can generically pair with other chartplotters.
