I had the same problem. Hope this helps. Check the position of the oil dipstick. There is a weep hole at the top. Make sure it is facing to the rear of the engine. If not oil can leak when tilted up. I removed the clamps from the black tubing that houses the wiring to the motor and flushed it as...

I recently upgraded to a rev 4 17p on a 2008 25se. The boat is hard to steer to the left. I know the tab on the lower unit can be adjusted but wont that make it hard to turn at a different trim level?

I installed a 17p revolution 4 on my 25se parker f250 motor. I ran the boat today for the 1st time and steering to the left while running is stiff. Overall I am happy with my decision. I was told an adjustment can be made to the "fin" on the lower unit. Will adjusting it help in all trimmed...

Buddah B. I just ordered a mercury revolution 4 17 pitch prop for my 25se. I have a 4 stroke 250. What hole is recommended for proper height of the engine? I am getting the prop from Jacos marine with the hub kit for $484.
