1988 2520, sport cabin, 2 drain holes to bilge in stern????

Recently bought a 1988 2520 sport cabin, it had twins on bracket but will be replaced with single outboard, why are there two drains in front of the rear scuppers, that go down to the bilge, and can i seal them to make it self bailing, thanks for the help

You can alway send an email to parker with the year and HIN number with your question on those drains to see if factory installed. Seems a little odd, would put water in bilge rather than out the scuppers. Maybe a mod, with the 2 brackets she might have been stern heavy and an owner installed thinking a bilge pump would pump out the deck water.
