I have a 1999 1800 that I need to mix up some gel coat for a few repairs. I have white gel coat and I wanted some ideas of what colors you mix to achieve the cream color.
I have yellow oxide, brown and black colorant. I plan on starting with the brown but any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

It takes almost no yellow to get the match. When you think you have 1/2 of what you think will be enough tint cut it by 1/2 and then 1/2 again. I mean it is almost nothing. For a golf ball size amount of white you'll need the tip of the corner of a razor blade of yellow. Think sesame seed.

If you mix the colors first, before adding the hardener, you'll have plenty of time to get it right. When you add too much color you can put more white into it to lighten it. Without the hardener you can dab a little of the mix on the existing gel coat to see were you are.
