which runs better in a 2-3 chop? the 25' is freaking huge with the beam it has and the 23 is a nice set up as well but i'm wondering on those days when it's blowing 15-20mph which boat will handle it better? thanks

i have a 25se and 2-3ft is the limit, plus the se does not like swells.

Two very different boats really.

The 23 has an 8'6" beam and comes in both a DV (the 2300) and an MV (the 2300SE).

The 25 has a 9'6" beam and is a much larger boat. It also comes in a DV model (2501) and an MV model (2500SE).

Look at the specifications for each model, and note the power needed for each.
That might be a determining factor for you.

Edit: Just noticed that you said...

Any of the above boats above can handle that wind, but if comfort is an issue due to spray, you might want to consider the sport cabin boats as well.
Same exact hulls, just a different topside.
Any brand of open boat can be a wet boat in wind and seas. Only you can decide if you are OK with that.

i assuming the 25 is going to run better even with less deadrise, it's a 1000 ibs heavier, 2 feet longer,

i'm familiar with all the models, all of the model spec's and know that any boat can be a wet boat in heavy seas. i was just wondering if anyone ever ran both of them for an extended time, ie moving up or down to or from either of them. thanks

I have a 21' DVCC and have ridden in a friend's 25 SE.. they are totally different boats, but I'd take the 21' in a chop any day.

Path,
I have not ridden in a23dv,but it should ride better than my 25se.The 25se is a great fishing platform, very stable and does not draw much water.

ok, i bought the 25se also. so in the last 2 months i've bought 2 parkers. now i have to decide which one to keep in the keys and which one stays at home in north palm beach. 23dvcc is in the keys for now.
