I took delivery of a new 23 SE with 200 XB w/reliance prop yesterday and WOT was 5300 rpms and 34 knots. The rpms were lower than I expected. Just me on the boat with a couple of coolers with ice and 80 gallons of fuel. The sea conditions were calm and current was minimal. i tried different trim angles on the motor and the tabs were retracted. What do you other SE owners with the same set up get at WOT? BTW, I'm very happy with this boat and the way it performed on the 50+ mile run to my home port. It was the first time I had ridden in it (or any SE) and was slightly apprehensive after laying down 60K but it exceeded my expectations.

I have a 225 on my 23se. I see about 5400 rpm max.

That seems low - I can turn about 5800 (5900 once) with a WOT of 42MPH (GPS confirmed).

F200 4S.

I'm getting 5500 rpm now and 40 mph with proper trim one person on board and full tank. I've run 531 miles and burned 137 gallons for average 3.87 mpg which includes some WOT running during break in period. I seem to get the best mpg between 3800(22 kt) to 4100 (26 kt). I loved my 25 XL but at 2.2 mpg w/F225 I figure I saved 100 gallons and $320. Sea Land, how far did you have your motor trimmed up and what position were your trim tabs to get 5800-5900?

Which hole is the motor mounted? Hole #1 is the top one closer to the sky
I'll take a look next time I get down to boat. Parker rigged the boat.
