I have a 25SE that currently has a pair of 2 strokes on a bracket. I am planning to repower after this summer with a single four stroke. The engines I have now are 25 inch shafts. With me going to a single engine, will I need a 30 inch?

The first question I have is about the bracket.

A Lot of brackets are specifically designed for twins...or single...But not both.

A pix of yours would help. I speaking specifically of the part where the top motor bolts go thru.

Mosts twins do not have a rise in the middle between where the 2 engines mount.

But let me say this......Some do.

Chances are yes....You may need a 30in shaft....But were not there....and proper measurement on your part must be done.
