Megabyte, thanks, remember I didn't take them!!

Hit a calm day where people we were boating around with on another boat asked for camera to take pictures. Not bad for their figuring out camera.

Some good variety in shots. Can see thow they ride normally with no wave action.

I agree. The shots with the full reflection are great. The El Mar sits real nice at rest. But I have to admit. I'm biased and my vote for best picture has to go to a green hulled boat!

Looking great Bryan !!

PM me when you can. Curious what classes your teaching this year. My son started at Hand.

Oh boy.... I'm in trouble.

1993 2530 MV Mercruiser. It was repowered in 07 w/MC 5.7 MPI FWC Horizon. The boat started its life in NC at the factory, spent a few years on the Chesapeake Bay (in Deale, MD) and then returned back home to NC in 2002, where it's remained ever since

Bravo II outdrive & a big a$$ 18" 4 blade SS prop = lots of lift and bite for toting 2000 lbs of divers and gear. 320hp at the wheel is plenty (probably overkill) for this rig. With a full load of fuel, gear, people and ice I'm getting about 2mpg in moderate conditions (2-3'er's) and alot better if its flat and I pull back on the rpm's. At 3300 rpms I'm usually running @ 20kts, at 3600 its 24-26kts.

31 miles off the beach at the end of a Dive Trip. Wow, she doesn't usually look this low in the water; is it all the weight of dive gear or the wide angle lens? Look who I caught snoozing on the hard top without a top! The ladies naturally gravitate to the hard top to lay back, relax and catch some sun. That works for me...it keeps em out of the way while we're handling spearguns, heavy tanks, flopping fish, the gaff or sharp hooks. O.K., I usually let her down while we're running.

My favorite add on-FREE HEAT off the engine block Works great for early or late season diving and winter fishing. Even with the engine at idle, unless its set on low or all the windows are open this will run you out of the cabin on the coldest days.

Is that hull a Mod Vee??

Yep, Mod-V, 14 deg. For essentially a flat bottom boat she rides suprisingly well in the ocean. Of course 1500-2000 pounds of ballast (gear and people) doesn't hurt a bit.

If its really rough, I slow down, put the wipers on, tabs down and just punch thru it. Once on hook, she makes a very stable dive platform.

Keeping most of the gear as far forward as possible really makes a difference ride wise.

By the way you all have some beautiful 2530's out there! I think the 2530 is pretty pleasing to the eye to begin with but those "colored" hulls really jump out at you. Kinda makes my old "beater" pale in comparison, but she does get the job done...

Is that the conning tower of a submarine?!

Nope. It really looks like it though. Actually its the remnants of a steam engine on a WW2 era tanker. The irony is that it was sunk by a U-boat.
