Adding cooler to top of casting platform

I enjoy the casting platform/cooler on my 23 SE when catching trout and drum but I would like to bring on board a larger cooler for larger species. I was thinking of adding a 145 qt cooler with a tie down kit on top of the platform. Has anyone else done this? Does it seem to work out ok?

Simply get a Yeti cooler tie-down cleat off Amazon.

I think a fish bag might be the way to go, I can keep it rolled up in the console and have bags of ice in the platform cooler ready.

I would definitely go the fish bag route. Get a Canyon bag, best in the business (made right down the block from me!), easy to clean up with a hose hookup standard.
