The owner of the Parker doing the rescuing may be on this site. If so, step forward and take a bow. Nice sun protection too.

The video is a long one but some good Parker shots at the end.

Obviously long debates on multiple internet forums regarding the sinking and actions/reactions. Bottom line - bad stuff can happen fast to any one of us.

Owner of this "rescue Parker" (Merlin) is out of Suwanee, Fl. and I believe is a member here. The guy on the boat that came up from diving & did the Mayday (not the boat's owner) and pretty much took charge, works for the same Fire Department as I do and compiled this video from his camera and another one they use for diving. 30' Century, offshore in approx 66' of water (between 30-40 miles off shore) - reportedly a hatch on the European transom was possibly not secure from maintenance just prior to the trip and with an open transom door and choppy seas, they assume that was what started the problem. Lots to be learned from the video and will get you thinking about your own boat & safety features/techniques....
