Nick, I double checked my original write-up and realized I could have shortened the wiring explanation. In the pic showing the breakers, diode and fuses, the positive power comes from the breaker on the left of the pic, flows "into" the unbanded (anode) left-side of the diode, and exits "out' of the banded (cathode) right-side of the diode. This left-to-right positive current flow then goes "into" the helm's manual bilge-switch where it comes out of the switch's other terminal via the brown wire to the bilge pump. I hope I didn't over complicate things. That was not the intent.
