We went out this morning to see what the BSB situation was off of Meganset Harbor in North Falmouth, MA. Winds were west/southwest at 5-10, seas out of the West at 2' or so every 5-6 seconds.

We were using pretty basic bottom rigs, I had a 3-way with a 4oz pyramid and a 3' piece of 30# mono with a 3/0 hook and a squid hood, baited with squid strips, my boss had a dual hook rig with a 2oz bank sinker.

Out on Cleveland's Ledge, the bite was on immediately. Numerous smaller fish eventually led to some legal ones, but the fog rolled in, and we retreated to just off Meganset, to the S of the outside buoy (there's some hard bottom there). We caught 3 keepers there, one spat the hook right at the boat, the other 2 are 18" and 21", and nice and healthy.

Not bad for about 2 hours on the water.

If anyone has been skunked elsewhere in Buzzards, thats a good spot to do some bottom fishing, pretty much guaranteed to hook up, and even the little ones fight pretty well on light tackle.
