Cabin wall thickness?

About to drill a few holes to mount a shelf on the inside of the cabin of my 2110. Looking at the opening porthole it appears to be at least a half an inch. Just not exactly sure. Anybody have a good guess?

Shelf will be going where you see the black horizontal strip in the photo...

If its anything like thenpilothouse models you have nothing near1/2" there.

Probably going to have to through bolt it if you really want it there.

It's 9/32" at best ...
