Looking to purchase an Edson 14.5 Comfort Grip / Power Knob Steering Wheel to go on my 2300 CCDV with Seastar Hydraulic Steering. I have heard rumors that the thread on the nut provided with the Edson Wheel will not fit the Seastar Shaft. Does anyone have any experience with this issue? What is the correct size. Also do you think 14.5 is big enough ? Will it look proportionately correct. I am thinking the 13.5 would just look to puny. Any help will be appreciated.

I've never fooled with a Edison. I always get the knock off's.

But here is what I do know.

Cable steering will use the 1/2in - 13TPI

Seastar Hyd will use a 5/8in - 11TPI

They will both have the standard 3/4in taper so any wheel will fit.....It's just the nut size that is different.
