I was so pleased to see our great elected officials told us we "non-essentials" could go back to work.
Instead I went fishing.

The wahoo bite out of hatteras continues to be very strong.

5 knots of breeze and slick seas we ran Betty 20 miles to the southern from Hatteras and set out in green water.
Shortly thereafter we hit the color change in 25 fathoms and some bailers tore up our spread.
One of them ended up in the box.
Pushed out a little deeper and an hour or so later we boxed the first wahoo of the day.
Then a small blackfin.
Then another wahoo.
Then an oceanic bonito.
Then another wahoo. This one went 56 pounds of tasty wahoo deliciousness.
Then another wahoo.

We had our limit and picked them up at 1pm. Made it back to the house running 24 knots in no sea.
A beautiful day on the water & a nice catch to boot.

Reckon I'll have to get back to work soon.

A couple of photos.
