The trolling bite is not hot yet, but its trying to get better.
We trolled up to the east on saturday. beautiful day & nice edge but no fish.
Scattered grass 40-50 fathoms made fishing the hot water pretty tough.
Shagged grass all day.
Worked inside late in the day & found a nice edge holding some 15-20lb gaffers.
Finished the day with 7 gaffers an a 25lb wahoo.
Sunday went bottom fishing with friends out of Teach's Lair.
It was a bit choppier than Saturday but fishable
Had a great trip fishing 100-150 fathoms for tiles & groupers.
Caught goldens, bluelines and half a dozen rosefish.
Then we came inshore to 30 fathoms and boxed a mess of triggers.
This summer I'll be filling in part time as captain on the charter boat BlueFin out of Teach's Lair.
If anyone needs a quality boat & hard working crew to fish with we'd love to take you out.
