I've fished 6 of the last 7 days offshore & even managed to take Bad Betty out for a couple of spins in the deep.
We were not denied in our maiden trip of 2013 landing nice gaffer dolphin one day and some gaffers and a couple of blackfin tuna another day
Today I finished up on a friends boat releasing a 350-400lb blue marlin.
It has been a very good week. A hot shower & a gin and tonic finished this boy off for the evening.
Saw Miss Char at the dock today at Teach's ... Great to see other Parker's making the trip down to our little spot on the sandbar.
Anyway, here are a few photos from Bad Betty's first trip offshore this year. Note the new "ICE STATION ZERO" box I have for icing the fish. It's pretty big but it keeps 'em very nice and there's room for a 100# wahoo if I can ever find one.
I also like the blood in the scuppers on the 3rd shot.
Hoping to get back offshore sometime mid-late next week.
