All,

The economy has apparently caught up with me. A recent set back at work coupled with the higher tax rates and higher insurance premiums have left me looking for ways to cut back. While not completely convinced, I keep glaring at the Parker sitting in my driveway as a potential source of relief.

I am, at a minimum, looking to sell/trade in my 2011 Silverado 2500 HD (desiel) ...... if anyone is interested ...... and that would leave me without a way to tow the boat unless I picked up something else.

As such, given the above and add to that the arrival of baby #3 about 6 weeks ago ........ not only would it free up some cash ...... the time I have available to "play" with it this year (and maybe next) will be limited. And I hate nothing more than paying for something without enjoying it.

That being said, I've looked around the internet in an attempt to gauge a realistic value for my boat/setup. Looking ballpark as I really don't know what it's worth would be. I know what I paid for it (via a buddy at a steal of a price) and I know what I've invested into it. Unfortunately, the sum of those two numbers don't always represent the real market value.

I was hoping you all might get me in the right ball park. Here is a general summary:

- 1991 Parker 2110. In good condition. No soft spots, visible cracking, etc. It's seen a lot of TLC since I got her. Certainly not as nice as some of the newer boats I've seen posted here but she is in good shape and strong as an ox. She does have bottom paint.

-2003 Evinrude 225 Bombadier with under 100 hours (need to confirm actual).

Installed a hard top from T-Top, Etc. (wtih red/white overhead light) along with various upgrades/cleanups (new cuddy door, trim, hatches, etc - all from starboard). New control helm overlay with new guages. New cuddy lights. Hummingbird GPS/FF color. Marine radio. AM/FM/CD radio in cuddy. Cuddy fans. A pretty long list actually but more elbow grease than anything.

Comes with an older (maybe '89) dual axle trailer (nothing special) with new rollers, newly painted - just functional. With electric power winch.

When tuned up, the boat runs fantastic. I'd say 41-43 mph with 750 lbs of people plus fuel/gear, etc. She's had her minor hicups (a simple search will give some insight) but nothing major and I am pretty convinced my issues are more due to non-use than anything. I simply don't enjoy her very often.

Just trying to gauge an idea of what dollar ball park I should be thinking ......................

Thanks in advance.

Sorry times are tough and congrats on the new little one. Your boat is nice and you don't see a lot of that style. The top really separates it from others I have seen in Eastern NC. I am guessing you should get in the $13,500 range.

Thanks Wind.

Is there a resource online to gauge pricing? For cars, I know there is KBB or you can search Autotrader for similar vehicles. I am not familiar with what options there are for boats.

Thanks again for the input.

I would be hestiant to use any thing like a kelly blue book if I was going to price my Parker for sale. In my experience, Parkers always seems to be priced lower than the true market value of the boat. When I purchased my boat my "finance guy" did a pricing on the boat to see what the banks will lend on it. He said the book value came back $10k less than asking price. I tried to use it for my leverage in negotiating a price but all parkers priced in the asking price range were selling.

I would comb yachtworld, boattrader, THT and other sites to see what others are priced at and what ones are being sold.
