I have 6-30lrs and 4-50lrs i don't have any 80s altho i would like too.I use 100pnd powerpro with 200ft 80pnd mono for shock on the 30s and 150pnd powerpro with 200ft of 100pnd mono on the 50s

lov'n the shots of the fish and craft. Is that a Hoo, if so how big. Nice catches all around

Uni to Uni just like on the power pro directions hasn't failed me yet but there is a lot of great nots that work as good or better.

Depending on the boat we're on we drag 6-11 lines. For some reason, it is always our 2 80's that end up sitting there not being used. We always just end up rocking 30's and 50's, and always use all avaialble 50s before employing the 30s

A lot of time offshore in our area (montauk) youre dillydallying with smaller bluefin and mahi, 30s are more than enough for that.

Hopefully you'll need those 80s for the BigEyes makos and threshers@!

ok being as how i keep my boat out there in MTK too so i'm all ears....... ok im on ebay all week loading up got a mint 30 from 83 for 135 $its perfect had it serviced and the shop offered to buy it!!!

I would like to tie some good tuna rigs so hopefully comes time ill post some ? on that topic...

Thanks

great pics! thanks for posting. A nice shot of your "armada" - a boat for every water depth: offshore, inshore and duck hunting. Is the blue and white skiff production or homemade? Looks very nice.

Forgot to add another question: Details about you setup for rod holders inside the transom. What you did there could be a good post for the project area. I'm trying to figure how to get some more rod holders and it looks like you have an interesting solution. Could you post some details and pics?

The skiff is a 1956 Harkers Island. My Dad found it in a ditch along a side street on the outer banks. He bought it for a hundred bucks and I restored it. When we go on vacation I tow the Parker and my son tows the skiff great speck fishing boat. I made the rod holder out of stainless steel railing pipe 3/4 from west marine and welded cheep rod holders on it. Her are some more pix of the skiff I will look for some better pix of the rod holders. My Parker has 26 rod holders. 6 along the back,8 on the top,5 on each gunnel, and one on each side of the top half way down.

Beautiful skiff. Good for you for saving her! 8)

Something like that would be perfect for stalking chain pickerel in the Severn tribs this time of year.

Thanks for the pics - the skiff is really nice - what a save! I definitely got to get to work on the boat
B4 march I need:
EPIRB
life raft
offshore vests
more rod holders
2nd bilge pump
2nd vhf
live well

on the last one - Anybody know a good livewell pump that doesn't mount with plastic tubes (they scare me). My washdown pump is bolted to the bulkhead and has rubber hoses - ie nothing to break and flood the boat.

Here's a few.
