Need some Feedback on Sounders

Have a 25' SE CC -

It came equipped with a 1KW Airmar Ducer & Raymarine c80. I am buying a new sounder and have it narrowed down to the Furuno FCV 585 vs 295. I have used the FCV 585 on a 600w Ducer in the past and have had no problems. I like the larger screen of the FCV 295 but am not sure if the 1KW is enough for the 295. Any feedback, guidance is welcomed and appreciated. Fishing the NorthEast for Cod, Haddock, Tuna & Bass

No help on the tech issue but just read that Furuno has already released updated versions of their ff's in asian market. 587 and 627 iirc. Higher resolution, change to gain function and some other stuff. You can read about it on THT. Check with Semperfifishing over there to get the scoop.

you might be able to use a diplex box and keep the ducer.
if you call airmar they can tell you and get you the wiring schematics.
my parker has a black box so I cant help you with FF
