Finally got my 1990 Parker 25ft sportcabinnew to group just wanted to say hi and see what you're thoughts are on my purchase.... It's a 1990 sportscabin with 2001 alum I beam trailer . It's powered by mariner 200 go and a 25 up Johnson kicker . Both fired right up. Boats was last in water in 98 it's been at marina ever since. I have over 10k worth of receipt for winterizing and opening every year . The boat only has 8 years of use. I picked up whole setup for 6k . Now I heard the motors not the best but runs good. I'll run it this year and see how it works. Any info I should look for on these boats? What are you're thoughts on my purchase. Thanks

At 6k, I think you got a deal. Congratulations and welcome aboard!

Thanks for the welcome!!! Everything seems to work good. Threw a battery in and everything powered up... Now if this 3ft of snow in my yard would melt I could start getting her ready for first voyage ;)... I keep trying to add pics but for some reason it won't upload them ? Only issue I can see having is the 173 gallon tank is full of gas from 09 so I'm assuming I have to drain it? There's no way to save the gas is there? Thank again

Holly Cow ! that is one clean looking boat for the year and what you paid.

You got a GREAT deal. Nice looking boat for what you paid. I'll bet with a little TLC you'll be one happy guy. Congratulations!!

I would certainly drain all that gas. It is a shame but not worth the headaches of getting it out of the engine and other components by trying to use it. Will save you headaches in the long run.

Steve

Thank you!!! I'm feeling pretty happy about purchase. She's a beauty. now if spring would come I'd be real happy... On another note I have a 1966 Bertram Bahia Mar for sale if anyone knows anyone looking.

Times are good !

Nice boat. More importantly, is that a Vizsla butt in the last picture? Seems to be standing too close to you, so it just may be. Great boat dogs. Named our boat Bird Dog after ours.

Same here... he's registered under yellow that's what the akc recognizes him as . His litter mates were 2yellow 1chocolate and 1 black . From my research it's just a variance of a lab sorta like albino . Opposed to silver and ivory labs being a product of cross breeding and not recognized in the akc... Or something like that . Both his parents were yellow. If you notice he has the chocolates features pink eyes pink nose etc... Some have black . It's strange but after looking into it there's a lot of them out there. Not that I'm gonna breed him anyway so all that don't really mean much to me... What matters is he listens good likes fishing and don't shit or piss in the house or boat and all's gonna be good ;)

Thanks bud I appreciate :D He's been a joy to have. I think he'll appreciate the much roomier boat this year . now if this 3ft of snow would melt :x driving me crazy. Another ft for Monday ...........

Dude. It looks like you got a SMOKING deal! Was that thing in covered storage for all those years?

I'm not sure the receipts I got were from a marina. to winterize and spring open every year. Since 98 ... Guy lived in Fla and told marina to keep it usable if he comes up for vaca . Last registration sticker was 1996 and its a 90 so it was basically bought and never used . The motor I was told was a replacement one because original Yamaha and kicker were stolen from marina . So that being said I'd assume it was outside and wrapped. The guy owned like 20 boats . His kids had titles to boats and trailers they don't even know where the boats are.... I just lucked out and seen it on craigslist ( Parker 25ft 10K OR BO.) I went and looked at it and once I seen it was a pilot house I almost couldn't contain myself .made offer and It was at my house the next day ;) right place right time .... Thank god . When the motor fired right up that was a total bonus. She was a mess but pressure wash is all it needed

I guess in 09 when there father passed they took boat home from marina and uncovered it then it Sat for 5 years.

Pressure washer does wonders. It was like opening a present on Christmas morning with every spray .... Very pleased with her
