Doing some re-config of my radar tower and want to fix my non working poor ass mount standard issue Parker horn with something that actually works and stays working.

Going to put the horn on the radar tower, any one ever use one of these air horns???

Single or double.

Bryan, I've seen a boat with those on it and they are pretty loud. Certainly louder than stock. Having said that, I think that the problem with ANY horn you put on there is going to be keeping the elements out of the diaphragm or whatever they call the part the creates the "noise". Water intrusion, dampness whatever, is eventually going to eat away at the guts.

I replaced the stock parker horns after 5 years with a set of nice horns from West Marine. Been on less than one season and I've already lost one of the tones.

I know that some guys mount them backwards ( opening facing the stern ) to help keep bow spray out of the tubes.

Good Luck

And I bet it was a AFI....They last No time. But I've been using the Ongaro's. No problems with the flush mount units, but I did have to replace the trumpet on my Mako. :( The Ongaro's are all stainless inside & Out. I'm still looking for a better mouse trap myself.

I ordered the air horn on ebay, we'll see what it looks like when it comes in.

Project post!
I'm interested in this horn as well.

I need to find out who's horn Hinckley uses.
That thing was only a 2 trumpet, but it sounded like a freight train!

Did you see this post by John (CBIGMA) on air horns?

Yes, It came up in my search, I also remember when he 1st posted that.

That Is what gave me the idea but I went with the smaller 9" horn.

I like the idea of cleaning up the lines of my radar tower with the smaller horn and getting the dual trumpets off the roof.

FYI... All of the Parker horns have a lifetime warranty. When mine went, I sent an email to the company (the horns are now made by an Italian company... I'd have to check the horn for the name). I got a response about a week later from their one of their U.S. reps. He sent me a brand new horn, and didn't even charge for shipping!
