I see some guys putting on permatrim. I’m running 2330-250 Suzuki with a 16 inch SS 4 blade prop. The 2005 2320 was the first year made and the 150 gallon tank sit back as the newer 2320 parker tank was moved forward. I also replaced the trim tabs to larger one 12x12. I also raise the motor all the way up- less one hole. I can now be on plane at 2800 rpm. At 5800 RPM WOT I’m at 44 MPH. My question is, should I put permatrim on?

12 X 12 tabs are not big.... If I was putting tabs on a 23 and have in the past....12 X 18's unless they are in a pocket as some are and limits the size.

Sorry I just check the size. 12x 18 with the side ends lip up. So with all I did should I try putting permatrim ? I’m afraid they may be out of the water at high speeds but at 2800 RPM they may work great

I see your performance problem.

That bait tank is Absolutely in the worst spot it could be... and for multiple reasons.

I do not know how big that tank is.....But lets say 30gal.......30gal of saltwater weighs 249lbs

The other reason is if a bait flips as your getting them out.....Plunk.....Their Gone into the big drink with no hook in them.

Wart hit the nail on the head. I had the same setup, with the bait tank on the bracket I ended up making my own portable 30 gallon tank after using Wart's tank as a template (slight modifications). Best thing next to changing the prop I ever did. I sold my boat, but I still have the tank. I am willing to part with it, if interested.

True as my Suzuki mechanic said the same. At the time I installed it my boat was listing to starboard- bad. So bad the guys at the marina would call me and say your boat is sinking. I installed a 7 draw tackle box where 2 Nd steering goes and a 2 Nd 7 draw tackle box under Capt seat. I also had a kicker motors on R/S. I was doing a lot of offshore fishing. Having the 30 gallons tank on port side, I had it filled all the time. I replace tab to bigger ones and 4 blade prop. I now sold the kicker motor and I don’t use that 30 gallon tank anymore. With the new 250 Suzuki motor she on plan at 2600 RPM. I also raise the motor up. One hole left. I did mount the tank on deck at first but didn’t like the room I lost.
