We fish out of Jerusalem/Snug harbor RI, and he hit a fillet of bluefish down at 30', Every fish that day hit that same bait except one hit a 60' bait and broke off early in the fight, I believe that may have been a thresher as our leaders are 12' long and the line nicked and sliced. Brand new line and only fish on that rod. We'll never know though.

We fished the Ranger on Saturday and ended up getting distracted chasing Bluefin...ended up bringing home a nice one

Sharking was dead for us...plenty of life - popoises, turtles, at least 8 whales, tuna, even mahi darting in and out of the slick

Had one shark pop out of the water (mako) way back in our slick but never heard from him again. Sawe a couple blues mosey underneath the boat but even they didnt go for our baits. We livelined bluefish, put out filets, mackeral, combo.....nothing - just not our luck

Saturday was when we fished also, great day for a run, not much of drift, only 2 miles over 6 hours, the first 4 hours was only .4 miles, but decent slick, we chased after those small BFT on the way back, they were all over and going aireborne and we couldnt coerce one on. We only gave that 30 minutes as i have seen that show before. Lots of life, just hope they settle in a little closer. They were all 30-40 lb fish. How big was the one you got Pmeggers?

it worked out perfectly that this was the largest (and first one) caught

once we had this one in the boat we let the lines go off a couple more times then set up the slick...we actually moved well until about 1030am then it slowed down considerably
