Have kept the boat on the trailer and have simply plugged the battery charger to an extension cord at home.

Now, the boat will be put in a slip and I'd like to hook up to shore power just for the batt charger. Berth has 30amp pedestal but the boat is not wired for AC power.

What do I need to install to do this safely and correctly? I am assuming I will need the inlet receptacle, a breaker box, and a gfci outlet in addition to the shore cord.

I am happy to hear your input and would welcome all suggestions and info.

Thanks,
John

John, did you have an installed charger or were you using a portable one? If is installed, then if you have some spare money I would suggest a galvanic isolator as well. Goes between your shore power outlet and the 110V breaker panel you install.
