Rooftop Storage

I have seen the life raft canisters attached to the tops of a few Parkers but has anyone done anything similar for just storage? It would be nice to have a life raft and ditch bag together in a container at the highest point or fenders lines etc.

I have seen another make cabinhouse boat with storage pod like you would see on a minivan. It is low profile, available everywhere, convenient, and easily accessed.
