Salt water spray inside a Yamy 250

Getting some type of salt water spray inside the OB cowling , from the top. Put a salty crust on starter and some other parts .
Any guess where from ?

Have you checked around the thermostats? Unfortunately the housing area, particularly on older Yamaha F250 & F225 are prone to developing corrosion which will result in water leaks.
