Hi Everyone,

The last two times on the boat I noticed a small amount of hydraulic fluid on the floor below the steering wheel and a small red trail on the helm just below the steering wheel. I guess its coming from the vent on top of the steering column. Should I be concerned about this? Both times it was a small amount of fluid and the boat is steering fine.

I appreciate all advice

Thanks in advance

Yup, expansion I bet. I bet you also have air bubbles in the line and that too expands at a greater rate than the fluid and you see the effect at the helm.

Here's HOW TO check the fill level, from Teleflex, click here.

When I bought my current parker (new, this summer), the sales guys said this was normal when it is full, and not to worry...it is expansion
