Sealing around pulpit and deck

First owner used 5200 and needs to be redone. Do others seal the seam using what sealant?

Funny you mention it. I just re caulked that same area this past weekend with 3m 4000. Not sure if that’s the best choice but I had it on hand

I picked up a tube of 8200 yesterday to use as sealant on a transom mount rod holder. I understand it to be 1 step down from 5200 and not permanent.
