Season's Greetings to you all and I hope everyone is doing well:

I've seen a few posts on Eeling and all I can say is that around the CBBT, you have to put in your time, or know the spots.

Call me on 79 or 68 next time you are down this way and I'll share what I know about where the fish are.

We ran a charter last Sunday evening and one of our clients caught the attached 45 inch trophy using Eels. We are heading back out tomorrow (Wed) evening with the same client who is bringin a few buddies to scout a few old haunts...

Here's a link to the trip report ...

Best Regards to All, God Bless and Have a Great Christmas!

Nice fish!!!

I'll be down there myself on Friday the 21st fishing with Capt Skip on his Parker 23SE throwing plastics.

I'll be the guy dressed in red. :)

Very nice fish.

I'm down there now. Fished yesterday PM with mixed results. Will start a post when I've got some better pics.

Kevin...give me a hollar on 68 or 16. Or call my cell 301.219.2586. Will share what I've found.

Kevin and Dave - Good to hear from you all -

I fished the CBBT last night from 4PM to 6PM on my buddies Grady White 24 Offshore (don't hold it against me) and had slim results, as the tide was near slack and the sea state rough. We called it quits at 6PM b/c his 8 year old had school the next day and we new we would not have time to fish the incoming tide.

Anyway, as you may know (And this is the same luck we are having) -

NIGHT TIME AT THE HIGHRISE -
The biggest fish are being taken from Sunset to wee hours of the night at the Highrise in 35 to 60 feet of water. You can anchor up with your aft end about 60 feet from the Bridge's Pilons near the Light Shadow line. Float eels back to the shadow line, either on bobbers or just by themselves and try to fish them from surface to about 2/3 down in the water column.

EARLY MORNING NEAR KIPTOPEKE OR PLANTATION LT -
Also, during early morning you might try ESFishDoc's haunt, West of Bouy 18 using Eels and Bobbers. You might also run north to Plt Light, but I have not fished that this season yet.

OCEAN ROCKFISH FROM CAPE HENRY TO GREEN CAN -
Last, a Charter Captain friend of mine, Josh Andrews who runs the "Frog Pile" out of Ruddee Inlet says that the Ocean Fish are biting on Chartruse Mojo's and Umbrellas from the Green Can (4A) to Cape Henry. These are nice size fish and the tide cycle does not really matter. Trolling South to North has always produced good results for me.

Perhaps this info will help you in some way...

I will try and be out tomorrow morning if my work schedule permits and if so, will try to hail you on 68 and let you know anything good.

Good Luck & Best Regards,
