Hey All Happy New Year!
Happy to see the place still functioning with my posts being few and far in between.
Just to catch up lots has happened over the past year for the old fishpimp besides increasing the waistline an gray hair.
I got my 50 ton master captains license.
And.........
I bought and pretty much overhauled a new to me 1997 Ocean Master 31 super console. I really wanted a 2801 but couldnt find one that met my needs or price range. So I went with a battle wagon of a center console.
Yes I still own the 23SE with my brother and the FishPimp Edition is alive and well.
My new ride is the 2ND2NUN she has twin Zuki df225's, 3 tanks totalling 310 gallons, and has been outfilled with all Simrad Gear.
Pretty much every wire had been removed from this boat over the past season, with exception of the battery, and aft spreader lights.
I went into the transformation a bit deeper than I had expected, quite honestly, once I started creating systems and replacing parts, fixtures and bling. I ripped and stripped it all. I learned a bunch after doing the 23SE and staying on top of projects here.
I am going to be running limited charters out of this boat when I am not tuna fishing so I wanted everything to be as redundant and bulletproof as possible.
Not sure where to post up some pictures of the transformation maybe I should do it here?
So that's my story.
Still rockin and rolling
Chris

Nice!

I was looking at a 31 Ocean Master with a cabin before I bought my 2530. Nice boats, real fishy machines.

Haha, he is a great guy!!

I haven't met him in person yet but been talking to him on various websites over the years.

He mailed me a bunch of old rigs to explain how he rigs up for Giants and even mailed me a lead mold he made to borrow and make a few tuna bombs.

Tell him Bryan said hi!!

Awesome boat. Welcome back!

Feel free to post in the projects thread.
Many of your upgrades can be applied to any boat...
You know how we like projects here. :)
