I switched to SS prop same pitch over the factory black painted but increased the diam. 1/2 inch. The SS has a 15.5 diam over the black painted at 15. The 1/2 inch increase in diameter
helps "push" the boat better at lower speeds and more control in turns , again at slower speeds. I also noticed better bite when trimmed up in the dreaded following sea condition. The SS does appear to have a sharper blade edge than the black painted. Over all was it worth the $ = yes
 
I changed from the stock 15x17 to a mirage 15.75 x 15
I also have seen a great improvement in every aspect , along with a gain of 6mph on the top end as well..

Awesome! :D And shows other what switching to a premium made prop can do, even when changing out to a lower pitch!
