VHF Issues

Recently installed a Standard Horizion VHF and when receiving a transmission there is a noticeable dead spot basically every 1 second. It does it on every channel but it is very noticeable on a WX channel where there is a constant broadcast. The pause or dead spot is rhythmic and consistent. No other accessories or devices were on while testing this....has anyone else experienced this? Any thoughts as to the cause?

Sounds like the fishfinder might be on...

Turns out I had the "Dual Watch" feature turned on so the pause I was hearing was the unit checking the other channel... I turned off dual watch and it now sounds normal...Thanks Bryan
