I have been putting off my annual boat work, with MLPA coming soon and the good fishing I have been experiencing along the coast that could wait. Rain and poor weather was on the forecast, Ok let’s get it done; be down for a week and then back in the game. Called Nick at WCMS told him I would drop off Saturday pick up the following, we discussed what was to be done. I decided to add Structure scan and normal service work, after a couple of calls with Nick we decided to go Big 10” structure scan with a thru-hull for the SS and airmar 1K tiled transducer.
Also on the 2120 NT it has that transom splash shield that is screwed to the deck and always got in the way so that was to be removed; Kevin from the Parker side of WCMS fabricated a hinged removable shield made from Parker board that was a perfect match. Got the call from Gonzalo on Thursday that all was done except they would sea trial the boat Friday and set up the new SS. Friday he called and I was set to go Gonzalo new I was hitting the water after I picked up the boat and drove back home to San Diego, so he went ahead and charged both batteries for me. “Thank you” launched from MB ran out to get bait and some of those tasty Reds that are out along our coast, well I spent most of the day looking at the SS and spent very little time fishing. My camera was dead but here are a few pictures from the phone. The one picture is from the Yukon that is sunk off our coast, some nice fat bait balls as well.
This spring Gonzalo and Kevin will start fabricating a sliding door for my boat, similar to the one they currently offer for the bigger Parkers but this one will be a split door and the first 2120 known on the west coast…..stay tuned for that.
