winterizing Question

I have a Yamaha 225 on my 2320 and just put it in storage for the winter. My question is about fogging the engine, is this needed. I was told that is was not needed for the new engines?

Fogging through the intakes on a 4 stroke is generally not reccommended for a normal winter layup.

The best thing is to run Startron or stabil through the gas then remove the spark plugs and spray in fogging oil, turn it over a few times, then reinstall plugs.

That is what I do.
