Looking for comments or suggestion regarding 4 stroke Yamaha winterization. I have a new 300hp and as with previous motors my procedure is as follows:
Change lower unit and crankcase oil and filter
Make up a mix of gas, ring free, stabilizer and 2M yami oil in an 3 gallon aux.tank and run the engine with this mix for about 15 minutes while flushing with fresh water.
Remove plugs and give a shot of fogging oil and replace plugs
Pump antifreeze back thru the weep hole until runs out at hub area
Grease all fittings and CRC engine area
Any comments or additional suggestions?
Also, what's the consensus on leaving LCD multi display units in the dash over the winter? I use to remove my Raytheon E120 and store indoors. My current Garmin 2012 is a lot more difficult to remove from the dash and several folks have said it ok to leave in .....the cold should not hurt it.
Thanks
