Yamaha Corrosion Issues - WHEN RESOLVED??

Does anyone have clear intel on when the dry exhaust - corrosion issue on Yam 4S engines began, and was actually resolved? Posts on THT suggest 2002-2004.

Most of the talk was about the 225 hp, but I also heard 200 and 250 might have been affected.

Lot of posts on THT, but hoping someone here has insight.

Any yamaha 225 or 250 motor prior to July 2006 can have that problem!!They did not sell as many 250s as 225s as for price reasons!So if your in the market look for yamaha motors built after July of 2006 and still look at the exhaust ports as well as the internal zincs between the spark plugs!!!Good luck
