Late minute invite to take a ride to the Hudson canyon, (HINT) I never pass up a ride on a 48' sweet ride.

Watching the weather we switched from a late morning going over night to Monday into a "get away from the NE/E winds, let get it done in a day trip.....

We left dock at 12:15, Clear calm inshore, as we made it to the ocean we found 2-3 no too bad when you have 48' Viking under you. As we made mid trip we were welcomed by 2-4 solid but do-able. We arrived pre first light at 4:45, rigged up and were on the troll just before first light. Captain Adam is a gentleman, consummate professional and very calming, we started marking at depth 200'-400 large returns and bait beyond belief. We found out later that two large swords were caught over night !!!!!..... The sun came up and as if a switch was turned on life became abundant everywhere. Whales, dolphins, pods of bait , birds........Their were easily over a 100 boats spread out on the square and chatter was a slow bite unlike the day before. We trolled from a 8-11 spread and threw everything we had at them the result YFT 45-50# class and we called it early at 1:30 cleaned up a little and headed in. The right hand/First mate "DOC" mike is every captains dream for a second in command this man has it going on !!! Thanks again for the invite hope to do it again soon The ride was a pleasure.
Thanks Adam and Mike for a great relaxing and rewarding day of YFT. in STYLE.!!!!
