    I troll for halibut In San Francisco Bay most the time we go 1mhp. We are ready running 6 rods and with 2 buckets in the water would be too much. But that is a good idea I've done that on my Aluminum boat before.

    I just got the boat haven't had it out yet as soon as I do I'll let you know. On the test ride we hit 40mph with a stock prop. Just picked it up from the shop getting the kicker bracket on and a full service on the motor. Hope to get it out soon let u know.

    Thanks for the input yeah most my fishing I troll slow from .5 to 2 mph.i was thinking the same thing with the 150 I would go way to fast. I also didn't want to put a bunch of hours on the main motor. Moving the batteries is a good idea thanks for that.

    I just picked up a 2007 1801 with a 2011 150 Honda 4 stroke motor. My question is I want to put a kicker motor on because I do a lot of trolling.
